Android 6.0.1 Rolling Out

Google just announced a new update to Android, 6.0.1, and it’s rolling out to Nexus Players now.

The biggest part of the update is a vast increase in the emoji which were added to the system font.

The Leanback Launcher was also updated to allow users to reorder items on the homepage.

Beyond those two big changes, there’s nothing else to speak about. This update also contains a variety of security fixes for the month, which is appreciated.

If you’re unwilling to wait for the OTA, you can flash the update instead.

When should this come to my Sony Bravia running Android TV?

I do not know. I’m sure Sony has access to these changes and this should be the base for their next software update.
