TV Remote App Gets Visual Refresh

Having a smart TV means it can be controlled not only with a standard remote, but with your phone. The Android TV Remote Control app has been available for both Android phones and watches since Android TV’s announcement in 2014 at Google I/O. Unfortunately, it has been nearly that long since it was last updated. Now the app has received an update that doesn’t bring much new in the way of functionality, but will hopefully resolve connection issues users have been facing.

WHAT’S NEW

Visual Refresh
Bug fixes

After playing with the update, it doesn’t seem like anything in the UI has changed on the phone. The app does feel snappier.

Overall, it’s a relatively minor update. Hopefully this won’t be the last one.
