NVIDIA Shield TV Experience 3.1 Upgrade Rolling Out Now

SHIELD TV owners it’s that time again for another Experience update from NVIDIA. Version 3.1 brings the following changes:

  • Adds mouse navigation using SHIELD controller’s right stick. This feature is supported automatically in apps that don’t use the right stick. Example: Google Chrome browser (install from Google Play store using a PC).
  • Marshmallow functionality and stability improvements such as external USB drive detection, FTP write access, HDMI-CEC, idle/sleep stability, SD card formatting, mouse support, and more.
  • Monthly Android security updates, including the March 2016 partner security bulletin.

In addition to these changes it also bring optimizations to the following games:

Shield Games: Borderlands The Pre-Sequel, Super Mega Baseball, Real Racing 3, Puddle, The Walking Dead: Michonne, and Parallax.

GeForce Now: Lego:Jurassic World, Soma, Sonic All-Star Racing:Transformed, Murdered Soul Suspect, Sleeping Dogs, and Space Marine.

The update should be rolling out starting today and will continue over the next few days. The update is about 800MB in size.
