Chromecast Support Coming to NBC Sports

The Olympics are starting August 5th, a global competition with players from 207 nations. It’s going to be a massive event that will draw in a lot of people, and many people will want to watch these events on their TV. In the US, NBC has an exclusive contract to broadcast the Olympics. For those who aren’t paying for cable, there is also the NBC Sports app which works on phones and tablets (but no Android TV support).

To mitigate the lack of full TV support, NBC Sports is getting Chromecast support soon, as stated in a recent changelog:

WHAT’S NEW

Chromecast coming soon!

Hopefully this feature will make it in the app by the end of the week for the Olympics. If not, users will unfortunately have to watch from a small screen or try to find some alternative means of watching.

NBC Sports is free to download on Google Play, for those who are interested in installing it now and getting the update later.
