Google Home Comes Home November 4th for $129 Pre-Order Today!

Originally announced at Google I/O but then went silent as a mime until today. Google is now allowing you to throw money at them in exchange for a Google Home or a few if you’re feeling lucky. Yes, Google has released all the details, including price, shipping date, and more about its abilities. Nick also reminded me to let you know yes cast can be started by voice (thank goodness).

Powered by Google’s new assistant it was shown at I/O what it could do and Allo showed us how it works in a messenger. Now what will it work with? SmartThings, Nest, IFTTT and can control other devices. Those pretty LEDs are lit up in assistant colors (Yellow,Red, Blue) and also has a touch pad for control of music volume or to turn on speech recognition. Now right now you can only order the plain Jane white and grey but fabrics are coming soon! Bases can are a easy hot swap and there’s a High excursion speaker with 2” driver + dual 2” passive radiators so nothing insane but enough to do the job. Music sources supported off the bat are Spotify, Pandora, TuenIn, as well as Google Play Music, and YouTube Music. Chromecast Audio support and multi-room integration come along as well. NPR will do news and podcasts as well, hopefully more podcast support coming soon.

You can pre-order Google Home from today direct from the Google Store, at the rumored price of $129, shipping 1 month from today it will also be sold at Best Buy, Target, and Walmart. I already got mine, so get yours!
