STARZ Play Now on Android TV

Do you have a free STARZ Play subscription with your cable provider? If so, you might want to check out this app on Android TV. Like similar TV network apps, it gives viewers the ability to watch old episodes (and new ones the day after premiere) of STARZ TV shows on all your devices. There’s also movies that you can stream from the service; some of the promotional photos show Disney’s Into the Woods as a possible choice.

The app just launched on Google Play this Monday. If you’re a STARZ Play subscriber, there’s no reason not to pick it up.

STARZ Play has been pretty good about supporting other cord-cutting technology, like Chromecast, on the phone or on the web. However, you must have a cable subscription in order to access the service. It’s possible that, like HBO, they’ll introduce a service completely cut-off from cable providers. Until then, you’re stuck with a cable box somewhere in your house.
