Machinarium Supports NVIDIA Shield, Android TV

Josef the robot and his girlfriend Berta have a fine life until she gets kidnapped by the Black Cap Brotherhood gang. This is the premise behind the critically praised game Machinarium. It originally won best indie game of the year by Gamasutra and VGChartz when it was published in 2009, and it has now come to the Google Play Store with support for Android TV.

The game supports some aspects of Google Play Games, including achievements and cloud saving. Additionally, it supports gamepads on both TVs and phones, making it easier for players to control the game. Phone users can also take advantage of pinch-to-zoom so the game is easier to see even if the screen itself is smaller.

If you’re interested in playing, it is $4.99 to buy on Google Play.
