Free Book: Android Application Programming with OpenCV

Packt Publishing have been giving away free books every day. Today’s free book is going to be of interest to many Android developers. It’s called “Android Application Programming with OpenCV“. OpenCV is a cross-platform library for computer vision, using a phone or other computer to make sense of images or video.

The book goes into the capture and retrieval of both photographs and real-time video. You will then be able to manipulate them using the OpenCV APIs. This can be useful in the development of camera or gallery apps, and regardless of that it is free.

At the time of writing the book is only available for 10 more hours, so you may want to hurry and download it. It is available in a variety of formats, and they’ll also allow you to download the code used throughout the book.
