Live Channels Update Adds More App Branding (APK Download)

It’s early May, the sun is shining, finals are finishing up (phew!), and Google I/O is coming up quickly. Along with this list of new things is an update for the Live Channels app. It’s a minor version increase from 1.09 to 1.10 that seems to be mostly focused around bug fixes, but there is a small noticeable change in the EPG (electronic program guide).

Live Channels 1.10

When you visit the guide, there are icons for each app that help to show which channels correspond to which app. The icons float to the first channel on screen, and moving up and down will shift the icons to maintain this position.

It’s a small change, but one that should encourage more developers to add Live Channels, as users will be able to see which channels correspond to which apps.

You can download and sideload the app from APK Mirror, or just wait for the update to roll to your device.
