Capcom’s hit Resident Evil franchise is making its way to SHIELD with Resident Evil 5. Resident Evil 5 lets players survive the next generation of fear together as terror moves out of the shadows and into the light of day.
The app size comes in at just over three gigs on the Play Store which is massive but for an AAA game that was on the Xbox 360 and PS3 that’s impressive and with Google’s just announced ways of shrinking APK’s it could get smaller over its lifespan. But then I was welcomed to more resources installing but that’s okay because it is a port so I was curious where the other four gigs went.
Resident Evil 5 will only be available for the NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV at launch, running in HD at an average of 30fps, comparable to the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the game. It’ll launch as a single player game with multiplayer possibly coming in a future update. It does include all the DLC, however just like a GOTY Edition. The game will launch on Google Play with a promotional price of $9.99 (regular price $14.99). Resident Evil 5 will be available starting tomorrow May 19th. Gameplay will be up by it’s release tomorrow.
