LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens is published, supports gamepads

LEGOs are the building blocks of life. Well, not in our world, but in the LEGO universe they are. This universe is much like ours. They have superheros and science fiction. LEGO has been partnering with entertainment brands to create video games and recently movies by taking these popular characters and “LEGOifying” them. These games are often full of silly hi-jinks and decent gameplay.

That’s true of this latest publication, based off the recent movie Star Wars: The Force Awakens. In this game, you play as all the main characters (good characters) to stop evil and save the day. You can install the game for free on your phone, tablet, and Android TV.

Granted, this does not mean there is a Leanback banner. However, the game does not require a touchscreen. It comes with gamepad support out of the box. This means you can open it through Settings, or use a simple voice command to launch.

Users have reported gamepad support is good. Hopefully the game studio, Warner Brothers International Enterprises, will decide to add a banner and officially support TV in the next update. In the meantime, you may want to try out this dummy app which just acts as a shortcut to the game.
