Playstation Vue is Getting NFL Network Games

Playstation Vue, Sony’s cheap streaming service, is getting added value through the addition of new channels from the NFL. Customers will be able to add in NFL Network and NFL RedZone, just in time for the season to start in the coming months.

This news, which was just announced, will not just give users access to recording and watching of these games. This will also allow subscribers to access these games through the NFL website and their apps. It’s like a more precise version of TV Everywhere, where you login in to these services with your cable provider.

Sony states that these channels will be available to everyone, nationwide, without an additional cost. There isn’t information about when this will actually happen, they’ll share more information soon, although the first game of the season is September 8th.

Currently, neither the NFL Mobile or Playstation Vue services are available on Android TV, even though Sony is responsible for both their Android TV sets and the Playstation. You can also cast to your Android TV or Chromecast.

Playstation Vue has three plans with varying numbers of channels. The lowest, Access plan is currently $40/month. It’s not too bad if you’re interested in cord cutting.
