PuppetMaster.TV Extends Beyond Google Play, Gets Free Trials

PuppetMaster.TV has been a budding media playback program built on top of Google’s Android TV platform. This has meant the app, distributed through Google Play, had to follow specific guidelines. After encountering a dispute with Google Play’s policy team, the app has since been suspended and the developers has had to seek other options. One solution has been to host the APK directly on their website.

Additonally they’ve written an entirely new app, #SIDELOADTAG, which will allow people to download the app by entering in the code PMTVDL.

This unbundling of the app also means one of its new features, the VPN subscription service, is no longer able to be tied to Google Play. It has been spun out as a custom service. While this does mean more work on the part of the developers, it gives more flexibility such as offering more free trials or possibly gifting subscriptions.

I’d say the app is free to download on Google Play, but it’s not. You can get it from their website or by entering code PMTVDL in #SIDELOADTAG.
