PlayStation Vue Loses Viacom Channels, Gains Two More

If you’re a PlayStation Vue subscriber, a few days ago you may have noticed that certain channels have been removed such as Comedy Central, Spike, and MTV. This seems to be because the cost of carrying those channels, all from Viacom, has risen.

There has been a lot of progress in the cordcutting industry. When it was just a small test, Viacom may have been willing to be relatively generous in their contract. However, the market has increased with other companies such as AT&T negotiating with Viacom for DirectTV.

In good news, subscribers are now going to be getting BBC America and NBA TV. The company also states that VICE and more local stations from CBS and Fox should be coming to users soon.

PlayStation Vue recently launched on Android TV, including their own Sony TVs.
