DS Photo Adds TV Browsing for Your Photo Collection

DS Photo is a popular app for those who own a Synology NAS server. These types of servers connect a drive to your home network, making it easy for any device to access those files. They can also connect outside the network in some circumstances, depending on the company, so you can stream data from your personal cloud.

Synology has brought their Photos app to Android TV, freely available for anyone to download, although it is only useful for those who own the hardware.

DS photo is now available on Android TVs, allowing you to enjoy photos and videos on the large screen of selected smart TV models or with a smart set-top box.

This isn’t the first TV-compatible app. DS Video gained TV support last July.

Some of the company’s other apps may be more focused toward productivity, although I could see a similar TV port for their audio streaming app.

You can pick up a Synology NAS on Amazon relatively cheaply.
