CES 2017 has been quite the show so far, last night NVIDIA set the bar high with their SHIELD related news and we’ve seen a lot of new devices come Alexa enabled, so where’s the love for Home enabled or Chromecast built in devices? Apparently at JBL, with their new speaker the Playlist. The speaker gives music lovers the ability to instantly stream music, radio, or podcasts directly to the speakers with the touch of a button through the Chromecast built-in technology. Additionally, multiple devices can be connected to the speaker at one time, giving everyone in the home a chance to play DJ.
The JBL Playlist can also work seamlessly with the Google Home voice activated speaker, allowing users to control music by voicing commands through Google Home, such as “OK Google, play some jazz on JBL Playlist.” So it seems Google has gotten everyone on board so we won’t have another LG lack up updates and support like moment.
Additional notable features are the button on the front is tied to your favorite playlist for “One Touch” which plays your favorite playlist instantly, dual wi-fi band support and Bluetooth and 3.5mm input support.
The Playlist will start to be available some time this spring for $149.95 at JBL.com and yet-undisclosed “select retailers” in blue, white and black colorations.
