Watch TBS Also Arrives on Android TV

We took a deep look into the Watch TNT app on Android TV, which has plenty of evidence pointing to a release on the platform soon. It also seems like the Watch TBS app is arriving on the smart TV platform as well. This app will let users authenticate with a cable provider and gain full access to on-demand content from TBS.

Both channels are owned by the same network, Turner Broadcasting Systems. In addition to TBS and TNT, the network owns several other channels. CNN already has an Android TV app. Headline News (HLN) does not seem to be available on the Play Store in any respect, at least the network channel.

Another major property of the network is Cartoon Network, including Adult Swim and Boomerang. Boomerang’s OTT service launched recently, but has not come to Android TV.

However, it seems like none of these other apps will be getting a significant update ahead of Google I/O, when these apps will possibly debut officially. Both TBS and TNT received an update on May 4 to version 4.0.0, which have not reflected changes in any other apps.

You can download it right now from the web, although it probably won’t appear on the launcher, unless you generate a shortcut using Tv App Repo.
