The Verge recently posted a video interview with Google VP Mario Queiroz regarding the various announcements the company made the TV space yesterday.
Some of the early questions focus on the two different product lines of Android TV and Chromecast. Queiroz talks about the great experience casting gives to users, and how there is a place for Android TV to be integrated with set-top boxes or new TVs instead of a proprietary OS. He doesn’t say much beyond that, saying nothing about future software updates or future products. Still, it hopefully should reassure many Android TV owners that the platform should still be around for years to come.
