A year ago, at the Game Developers Conference, NVIDIA announced the great Android TV set-top box the NVIDIA Shield TV. Along with just having a powerful processor and GPU, NVIDIA announced that a number of games would be ported to the Shield to show it off. One game was Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel. Although there has been a pretty long delay between the original announcement and its release, the game has finally been published in the Google Play Store exclusively for the Shield TV.
The game takes place in-between the first and second Borderlands chronologically (hence “pre-sequel”) and uses similar game mechanics as the other games in the series. Notable features include local and online co-op for missions as well as lower gravity (the game takes place on a moon, Elpis).
The game can be purchased on Google Play for $15, which is cheaper than the equivalent game on Steam (which is $40). Granted, the Android version has slightly lower resolution graphics, but this is still one of the highest quality Android games that one will be able to play.
