Kart Racer Coffin Dodgers Makes It’s Way To GeForce Now

Just when you think that we’ve beat the kart racing genre to death like the FPS or Zombie genre you’ve thought wrong as I can personally say I didn’t see this one coming and to irony of the title is flat-out funny. Now of course I’m talking about Coffin Dodgers one of the latest games to be added to the membership of GeForce Now for the low price of FREE! Now the plot is straightforward from the title just as you would expect, take Mario Kart and put in a retirement community setting and replace the karts with scooters and opponents with The Grim Reaper and his army of scooter-racing zombies and you’ll have a rough idea what you are in for with Coffin Dodgers.

The Grim Reaper has settled down in the Sunny Pines Retirement Community, where he plans to fill his soul quotas easily from the comforts of his rocking chair. A group of seven of Sunny Pine’s senior citizens get wise to his game and strike a deal with the Reaper to save their souls in a racing championship to the death.

Coffin Dodgers - Rudolf ‘The Red Horn’ Hoffman
You pick one of seven elderly residents to try to save, and then hop on their scooter for an epic showdown with the Grim Reaper and his minions that unfolds during a 13-race championship for survival. Finish at the bottom of the heap and it’s game over – the Reaper gets to take your soul. High stakes indeed!

Now in my short time playing it so far I can say its pretty straightforward and easy to pick up and play you just have to get use to it at first. My one gripe with the game is that is not it’s gameplay but at its availability and it seems like a non intensive game and I feel it would be easy enough to offer it as free on GeForce Now with membership and paid at lets say $10 in the Play Store so that everyone wins and you can choose and increase sales without much investment beyond initial development. Beyond that I think it’s another solid game to add to the ever-expanding GeForce Now library. Last but not least local split-screen mode is a thing so couch co-op! (which supports two to four players)

If you haven’t bought one yet get yourself a SHIELD TV and/or Portable or Tablet today!
