“Manage Cast Devices” Comes to Stable Chrome

Google Chrome, the web browser, has recently added built-in support for Google Cast. This enables the browser to easily cast a video or the screen without the overhead of additional software.

Now another feature has come to the web browser aimed at Chromecasts. It is the “Manage Cast Devices” feature, which is now available for the stable version of Chrome on Chromebooks and Chrome for Windows, according to a recent Google+ post.

This feature, which was previously only available in the Google Cast extension, now is moving to part of the browser. It can be visited through the “Manage Devices” option by right-clicking the cast icon or visting the URL chrome://cast/#devices in the browser.

This menu provides a handful of useful options for your devices, such as renaming, performing factory resets, and other simple management and debug options. Are there any other features you’d like to see them add in the future? Let us know in the comments below.
