Possible NVIDIA Shield 2 Website Leaks: New Controller & Amazon Video

Earlier today, the NVIDIA website briefly updated with new information. Those pages later appear to have regressed, but the leaks do hint at what’s to come. The screenshots were taken from Kawshik in the Android TV community on Google+.

Note: We have not been able to independently confirm the validity of these leaks, but we’ll update this post if we learn more.

The rumored reboot will have the new controller based on a screenshot from a page that now 404s.

On an upcoming to the Apps page, highlighting some of the best Android TV apps, Amazon Prime Video makes an appearance. A variety of workarounds relating to the app mysteriously have worked on the Shield, and an Amazon employee said the app would be coming to the Shield. Now the banner appeared on the front of the page.

The pages aren’t live anymore, and no archival or caching tool appears to have saved them, so these are just brief teasers to what NVIDIA will be talking about in some upcoming press event.

I think the new controller looks badass. Hope the D-pad will get improved as the original is a bit sloppy.
As for the hardware? Maybe Pascal-based Tegra? Dolby Vision support? Probably won’t be a revolution over the existing one.
