Hulu Adds Offline Playback, User Profiles

Hulu, one of the large streaming services that have launched in recent years, has added two high profile features this month that should help it better compete with Netflix and improve the experience for more users.

Offline playback will allow users to cache certain TV shows on their device so they can play them back later even with a poor connection. This feature will be coming in a few more months.

With user profiles, more than one user can watch shows under the same account, great for families who may be paying jointly. The update will allow each person to have their own list of shows and watch states. Some profiles can be marked as “kid-friendly” and prevent some content from being watched.

Hulu can be downloaded on Google Play.
