Where Does Google Play Game Services Go From Here?

So if you haven’t heard by now the Android Developers blog let everyone know after some feedback and low usage numbers on the iOS side that they’ll be dropping iOS support and some features existing in Play Games today. They found that there is lower usage for Gifts, Requests, and Quests. So now the next 12 months will be a transition period for devs using these to remove them. and on March 31st 2018 the lights go out forever on these  features. As for other features, they’ll be continuing support (Sign-in, Achievements, Leaderboards and Multiplayer). Honestly the only feature I saw being used was Quest but even that was once in a blue moon so I think google is doing a good thing here and hopefully shows more cool stuff for Play Games at Google I/O this year.
