New Games on Android TV – Week of April 16

There’s a lot of games being launched on Android TV, and we may not have time to cover them individually. These weekly posts give brief summaries of many new games that are being published. If you know of a new game, or find one we missed, let us know in the comments below.

Commander Genius

Commander Keen was a video game originally published in the early 90s for MS-DOS and later released for the Gameboy Color. This is a recreation of the game for the Android platform, with support for Android TV.

Stellar Wanderer

Similar to Star Wars, Stellar Wanderer is a “space opera set in a vast open-world universe”. Players can pick one of several classes: fighters, traders, engineers, or tanks, and then embark on a variety of missions.

The Trail

Published by gaming site Kongregate, The Trail offers a unique experience where you “[j]oin our pioneers on a vast journey across country unknown. Set forth to reach the town of Eden Falls – explore, craft, collect, trade, discover, and eventually settle and build.”

Infinite Tanks

Infinite Tanks is a 3D war game that offers “never ending lines of modern combat vehicles, huge environments with realistic weather, online multiplayer and countless single player missions and drills.”

Sinister Soccer

This game, still technically unreleased, is a 90s-style arcade soccer game that includes tons of soccer players from around the world in all kinds of matches and includes local multiplayer, leaderboards, and achievements.

Nick Felker is a student Electrical & Computer Engineering student at Rowan University (C/O 2017) and the student IEEE webmaster.
